Hot to magnet customers on your website

You’ve got your domain and platform, and you might even have your website up and running, but do you know how to bring potential customers to your page like moths to a light?

Though it might sound easy in theory, knowing just how to make a website sticky in practice can be challenging. That’s why I’ve created a list of 5 key elements your website absolutely needs to be a magnet for potential customers.

1. Have a Great Design

A bland, boring website is bound to repel customers because, to put it bluntly, it’s not fun. It doesn’t feel like there’s anything in it for customers when they see a blank page or lackluster visual design.

A great design, on the other hand, is engaging and absolutely crucial to retaining viewers. From the fonts you use to the images on your site, art can keep potential customers on your page because it captivates and draws in viewers. Best of all, a solid design gets people talking, which can help spread the word about your site.

2. Make It Easy to Use

A poor layout can confuse viewers, making them bounce faster than you can blink. A good layout, on the other hand, incentivizes viewers to click through your website and stick around to see what kind of content and features you have to offer to them.

Unless it truly benefits your website, it’s best not to have hidden features and novel layouts that make users struggle to find what they’re looking for. In most cases, less is more when it comes to turning leads into customers.

3. Create Good Content

Your website is only as good as what you put on it. You could have the best layout and design possible, but if there’s nothing written to back your company’s branding or knowledge, no one will stick around.

Make sure you have a strong blog section that focuses on your niche, landing pages that are well thought out, and persuasive descriptions for any services or products you have to offer if you want potential customers to trust you.

4. Have a Strong Community

Community is the glue that secures your viewers’ interests in your website. Once someone lands on your page and likes what they see, they also want to know the kinds of people who are involved in the making and support of your business.

Links to social media accounts that display the strong community of followers and like-minded individuals helps cement that element of loyalty that brings viewers back to your website time and time again.

5. Regularly Update Your Website

One you’ve done all of the above steps, that doesn’t mean the work is over just yet. On the contrary, you’ll need to routinely check your website for bugs, outdated information, and old content that could use a pick-me-up while also adding new content to your site.

By following these steps, you will be sure to see an increase in traffic on your website, and in turn, new customers!
